World of Warcraft - Enchanting Guide

WoW Enchanting can be difficult but here is a quick note on what and how it works. Any class in World Of Warcraft can perform enchanting and remember it is a primary profession. If you have chosen the Blood elves you will have a slight increased enchanting ability or benefit with there passive racial skill but if you don't play them do not worry to much about this.

Enchanting does not need gathering so that is a plus and it goes well with tailoring.

An enchanter will enchant many different items in WoW making them more powerful maybe and making them more wanted or needed by other players.

So if you enchant a certain item that another player is looking for you can sell it to them for gold.

At the very beginning your enchants and enchanting skills are very basic and not everyone might need lower level enchanted items, but stick to it as in the higher levels is where you will make most of your gold.

Enchanting can be a bit tedious and difficult to learn, including expensive but it is still one of the most well-liked professions.

To start enchanting you need to find items to enchant. This can be done by disenchanting certain items (note this destroys them) to break the item down into its core items that you can use in an enchanting recipe.

Some of these items that you may disenchant can be quite expensive but this is part of the process regrettably. So instead of selling the items in the AH for some gold you need to break them down into its core to reuse for enchants.

Just check you are disenchanting the correct items as it cannot be undone. There are many sources that you can find to get the items you need to disenchant.

Formulae (special enchanting recipes) can be located from monster drops or hidden trainers.

Different types of dusts is what you will acquire if you disenchant armour.

Weapons you find - mainly essence, maybe some dust and rarely, a shard.

You will get a shard if you disenchant blue items.

Purple Items you find - Nexus Crystal, Void Crystal.
